Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. We will be staying at Kathmandu

  • Day 2 Kathmandu city sightseeing

    After breakfast short sightseeing in Kathmandu valley Pashupati Nath Temple: Pashupati Nath Temple is one of the most important shrines of the Hindu followers. It is one of the biggest and most powerful Shiva’s temples. This place possess much more of cultural behaves and exchanges. The art and the architecture can be seen scattered around each and every corner of the Pashupati Nath temple.
    Boudhanath: Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu and the largest one in Nepal. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. After the sightseeing of Boudhanath, we will drive further ahead till Sankhu and start the hike. The hike passes through beautiful villages and forests with excellent views of the mountains on the background. The hike is usually 3-4 hours walk depending upon the person’s walking skills. Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath is one of the most important sites for the Buddhist followers. It is also one of the oldest temples in Nepal. It is the symbol of peace and eternity all around the globe. It is situated at a hilltop from where whole Kathmandu city can be observed. It is not only important for religion but also for art and culture. Being habitat for monkeys around the jungle it is also called "Monkey Temple".
    Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square reflects the palaces and the livelihood of kings of that era when Nepal was just coming into existence. This was the place where the foundation of modern Nepal is formed. This place used to be and still is the center heart of Kathmandu. It’s filled with palaces astounding monuments, perfect handicrafts and art, the home of living goddess (Kumari) called Kumari Ghar, biggest example of a pagoda style monument. And back to hotel. After sightseeing drive back to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Early morning drive to Dap hill by jeep approximately 7/8 hours’ drive

    Early morning you will tack pack breakfast and drive to dap hill by private jeep. One the ways you will tack lunch. You will tack approximately 7/8 hours’ drive from Kathmandu to dap hill. Overnight at dap hill.

  • Day 4 After breakfast, trek to Jhapre (2-3 hours)

    Today we will continue along a dusty road leading us to Sigane. Again the trail continues along the bumpy roads to Jhapre. It is famous for exceptional vantage points to view the mountains residing in the northern region of the country. We can clearly see the Everest (8848m) and the Number Himal from here and we will also visit gompas and stupas in the village. Overnight at a lodge.

  • Day 5 Trek from Jhapre to PK Base camp (3-4 hours)

    Leaving Jhapre we will follow the trail that heads higher up into the alpine vegetation. Gradually ascending we will trek through monasteries dating back to hundreds of years, Buddhist stupas and Mani walls. We will continue to trek through several yak herding open fields with good views of surrounding environment. We will camp at a good camping site near the base camp of Peak peak.

  • Day 6 Trek from PK base camp to Junnibasi (4-5 hours)

    Pikey peak base camp is one of the best spot to witness the morning sunrise view. We will wake up early for the magnificent sunrise view over Himalayan Ranges from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri as well as Mount Everest. After spending a quality time in the morning, we will follow the trail that is an easy downhill trekking through the scenic landscapes and scattered settlements to arrive at Junbesi.

  • Day 7 Trek from Junbesi to Taksindu hill (6/7 hours)

    This morning, hit the trail bound for Taksindu. Cross the river at the bottom of town and climb through the forest up to Salung, from where there are views of Mount Everest (8848 m/ 29,028 ft), Chamlang (7319 m/ 2,4012 ft) and Makalu (8481 m/ 27,824 ft), weather permitting. There are also gorgeous views out across the valley to Chiwong Monastery and down towards Phaplu.
    Continue on the trail, contouring and then dropping down to a stream before a short climb up into Ringmo, famous for its apple orchards and interesting apple products such as apple rakshi (alcohol), cider and apple pie. From here, there's a final short climb to Taksindu La, from where there are again great mountains views, and then a short descent to the Taksindu Monastery and your lodge. The Taksindu Monastery was built in 1946.

  • Day 8 After breakfast, trek from Taksindu to Salary via Chiwong Gompa (6/7 hours):

    Today, leave the main trekking route again and take a beautiful path down to Salary through the forest. There's also the option of hiking up to Chiwong Gompa, perched high on a cliff overlooking the valley. This monastery was founded in 1923 and has magnificent celebrations for the Mani Rimdu festival in autumn. Continue on down into Phaplu and celebrate the completion of a great trek at your cozy tea house.

  • Day 9 Explore in Salary hike to Chalsa and back to salary (2 /3 hours)

    You will end trekking to reach salary which is the headquarters of the Solukhumbu district, Salleri lies just above the river line and you can have beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding area. From Salleri you hike to Chalsa, a Tibetan refugee village located on top of the hill. In Chalsa, you will have time to observe the local culture and lifestyle along with the spectacular views of different peaks of the Himalayan range. After lunch walk back to salary. Overnight at salary.

  • Day 10 After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu by private jeep.

    Early morning you will tack tea coffee and drive back to Kathmandu one the ways you will tack breakfast and lunch. Late afternoon you will reach at Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 11 Free day and some shopping

    Free day walk around Thamel and some shopping. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 12 Drop to International airport:

    After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
