Trip Overview
The Everest Base Camp/Kalapatthar Trek is a famous and picturesque route located in Nepal’s Khumbu region. The journey begins with a flight to Lukla and a hike to Namche Bazaar, passing through Sherpa villages, forests, and cultural landmarks like the Tengboche Monastery and Khumjung. The main attraction of this trek is the climb to Kala Patthar, which offers a breathtaking view of Mount Everest. Furthermore, hikers have the opportunity to visit the Everest Base Camp, which is the starting point for scaling the world’s tallest mountain.
The best time to experience this trek is from March to May and from September to November. It requires a moderate level of fitness, but overall, it’s an excellent adventure for anyone who desires to experience the grandeur of the Himalayas and witness the magnificent beauty of Mount Everest.
Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu ( 1350 m)
Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. You will be staying at Kathmandu.

Day 2
Kathmandu city tour
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and start the day with a full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the old palace square. Next, you will proceed to Swayambhunath temple- one of the oldest Buddhist Shrines. You will then processed to Visit Pashupatinath- the holiest Hindu temple and Boudhanath- one of the biggest and holiest stupas. You will be staying in Kathmandu.

Day 3
Kathmandu / Lukla ( 2860 m) / Phakding ( 4-5 hours/2610 m)
On this day, you will take a flight to Lukla which will take approximately about 45 minutes. After reaching Lukla you will be introduced to your guide and porter. You will then continue through Dudh Kashi Ghat followed by the bank of the Dudh Koshi River until Phakding. You will be staying at a Lodge.

Day 4
Phakding/ Namche Bazaar( 6-7 hours/ 3440 m)
Early morning after breakfast, you will then head towards Namche Bazaar- the biggest Sherpa Village in Nepal. We will then continue through the Dudh Koshi River via a suspension bridge and then through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo. You will then visit Sagarmatha National Park for a permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River en route to Jorsale and continue uphill to Namche Bazaar. You will be staying at Namche Bazaar.

Day 5
Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Today you are staying in Namche bazaar before continuing on the Everest base camp trek for acclimatization. On this day you can rest to allow your body to adjust to the higher elevation to avoid altitude sickness. You can even involve in short hiking to the Everest viewpoint and visit Khumjung village after exploring Khumjung village, you will then return to Namche and will be staying at Namche Bazaar.

Day 6
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (5-6 hours/ 3860 m)
Today you will start the day with easy climbing down to Phunki Thanka via suspension bridge you will then visit Tengboche Monastery which is the largest monastery in this trek.

Day 7
Tengboche / Dingboche( 5-6 hours/ 4410 m)
Today after breakfast, you will step downhill to Dingboche. On the way, you can see the stunning views of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, and many other mountains. You will then cross over glacial moraines and reached Dingboche. You will be staying at Dingboche.

Day 8
Dingboche- Acclimatization day
Today you will spend a day in Dingboche to acclimate to the high altitude. You can see the six world’s tallest peaks including Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. You can also observe the beautiful Dingboche village. You will be staying at Dingboche.

Day 9
Dingboche / Lobuche ( 4 hours/ 4930 m)
After breakfast, we will continue our trek towards Lobuche through the dense forests and rhododendron trees. On the way you can observe stunning views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. You will then cross the Imja river to reach Pangboche where you can visit the Pangboche monastery. The trail continues to Lobuche and You will be staying at Lobuche.

Day 10
Day 10: Lobuche /Gorakshep ( 7-8 hours/ 5170 m )/ EBC (5364 m) and back to Gorakshep
On this day our trekking duration is quite long and tiring. After leaving Lobuche, you walk alongside the Khumbu glacier. You can experience a perfect blue sky which will take you to the top of the world. You will walk over huge rocks and continue walking for 2 hours we will then reach Gorakshep. We will then continue to walk towards Everest base camp. It is walking over a glacier with heavy wind and it takes around 6 hours after spending long hours we will back to Gorakshep. You will be staying at Gorakshep.

Day 11
Climb to Kalapatthar (5545 m) and trek back to Pheriche( 4-5 hours/ 4240 m)
Early in the morning, you will climb to Kalapatthar and on the way we can observe panoramic views of the Himalayas and sunrise views. You will then trek down to Pheriche via Lobuche. Pheriche has several welcome teahouses. Feriche consists of several stone buildings. You will be staying at Pheriche.

Day 12
Pheriche to Tengboche ( 3860 m)
Today you will trek down to Tengboche and we can also visit Tengboche monastery which is the largest monastery in this trek. You will be staying at Tengboche.

Day 13
Tengboche / Monjo ( 2940 m)
On this day you will trek through a lush forest and rhododendron and cross the Dudh Koshi river after that, we will make our way back to Namche Bazaar passing the river followed by the bank to Jorsale and Monjo. You will be staying at Monjo.

Day 14
Monjo / Lukla( 2860 m)
Today you will continue our trek along the Dudh Kosi and reach Lukla where you can relax and celebrate the completion of your trek. You will be staying at Lukla.

Day 15
Lukla / Kathmandu
Early morning after breakfast you will reach Lukla Airport and fly back to Kathmandu. On your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is leisure so you can go shopping . You will be staying in Kathmandu.

Departure
After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
