The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a popular hiking trail situated in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trek takes about 8 days and offers ample time to explore the surrounding villages and landscapes. The trail begins from Nayapul and follows the Modi Khola river valley, passing through charming villages such as Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, and Tadapani.
The highlight of the trek is the breathtaking sunrise view from Poon Hill, which offers a panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Moreover, you will also get a chance to visit the stunning Gurung village of Ghandruk and relax in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda.
Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu ( 1350 m)
Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. You will be staying at Kathmandu.

Day 2
Drive to Pokhara-trek to Ulleri (6 hours’ drive)
After Breakfast, you will be driven to Pokhara. It will take approximately 6 hours. After arriving, the trek to the village of Ulleri will begin. You will pass through sub-tropical forests, river banks, and villages. We will be staying at Ulleri.

Day 3
Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750 m, 6-7 hours)
Early morning after breakfast, you will leave from Ulleri and trek through dense rhododendron forest to reach Ghorepani. On the way you can even see the small village of Banthati and Nangethanti. After few walks you will reach Ghorepani- It is a big Magar village which is famous for its incredible views of Annapurna range and its unique housing pattern. We will be staying at Ghorepani.

Day 4
Hike to Poonhill (3210 m) and trek to Tadapani (2700 m, 5-6 hours)
On this day, you will start hike to Poonhill. You can see 20 snow-capped peaks including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Fishtail etc. You will then return back to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue your trek to Tadapani. You can even see waterfalls and streams. We will be staying at Tadapani.

Day 5
Tadapani to Ghandruk (5-6 hours)
After breakfast, you will step towards Ghandruk. It is a big Gurung village with a traditional lifestyle. You can even see the incredible views of Mountains like Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna south and Himchuli. You will be staying at Ghandruk.

Day 6
Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara ( 5-6 hours)
On this day, you will trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara where you can explore the beautiful lake side city. We will be staying at Pokhara.

Day 7
Drive back to Kathmandu (6 hours’ drive)
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free so you have enough time for shopping and sightseeing. You will be staying in Kathmandu.

Day 8
Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly toward your next destination.
