Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day.. We will be staying in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu City tour

    After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and start a day with full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the old palace square. Next we will proceed to Swayambhunath temple- one of the oldest Buddhist Shrines .We will then processed to Visit Pashupatinath- the holiest Hindu temple and Boudhanath- one of the biggest and holiest stupas. After spending the early hours we’ll move towards Bhaktapur and Patan where you can explore living museum and palaces. We will be staying in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

    Today you will fly to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. We will be staying in Nepalgunj.

  • Day 4 Fly to Juphal( dolpo) and trek toDunai ( 2850 m)

    Today you will fly to Juphal. It will take approximately 45 minutes by flight. Upon arrival in Juphal you will continue through terraced fields to the Bheri river and the narrow canyon and you will reach village called Dunai. We will be staying in village of Dunai.

  • Day 5 Trek from Dunaito Ankhe( 2896 m)

    Early morning after breakfast, you will cross the suspension bridge following the trail past the new hospital. You will pass through an area which is overgrown with marihuana plants.you will then continue by crossing the river and reach the Hanke- It is also entrance to the Phoksundo national Park.

  • Day 6 Trek from Ankhe to Sulighat

    Today we will headed towards Sulighat passing through the jungle up to the grassy slope high above the river. We can observe the lifestyle of local people. After 5-6 hours finally we reach Sulighat. We will be staying in Sulighat.

  • Day 7 Sulighat to Phoksundo Lake( 3611 m)

    On this day, we will start our trek towards Phoksundo Lake . First we will cross the river and follow the path high above the water. We will then passes through birch forests to the upper reaches of the Phoksundo Khola and continue our trek to the village and after a short walk we will reach Phoksundo Lake. Overnight stay at tented camp.

  • Day 8 Phoksundo Lake – Acclimatization day (3611 m)

    Today we take rest at Phoksundo Lake.We are free to enjoy the beauty of surrounding are of the lake. We can go for short hiking to the village. On the way you can observe Buddhist monastery. We will then return back to Phoksundo lake. We will be staying in Phoksundo lake.

  • Day 9 Trek to Phoksundo Khola

    Today we will follow the trail and go steeply down to the valley to enter the flood plain of the Phoksundo Khola. Finally we reach Phoksundo Khola and stay overnight.

  • Day 10 Trek from Phoksundo lake to Phoksundo Bhanjyang ( 4402 m)

    Today we will cross through a glacier valley and heads to north. We will then continue to the vertical cliffs and rock formations and at the confluence of the Phoksundo khola there is another old wooden bridge. From here you will climb over rocks and rushes down the steep valley. We will then climb to the another valley where you can see the Kang La, the pass will lead you to Shey Gompa. We will be staying in Tented camp.

  • Day 11 Cross the Kang La pass ( 5151 m) and trek to Shey Gompa ( 4126 m)

    Today we will proceed to reach the top of the Kang La. We will then descend steeply to the valley and make a long trek by crossing the river. Finally we reach Shey Gompa. Overnight stay at Tented camp.

  • Day 12 Shey Gompa- Acclimatization Day

    Today we have rest in Shey Gompa. You can go for short hiking around Shey. We can observe mountain sites . We will be staying in Shey Gompa.

  • Day 13 Shey Gompa to NamdunaGaun( 4800 m) via Saldang La ( 5200 m)

    Today we will descent to NamdunaGaun via saldang la. We can see the the pasture grazing upon the meadows. We can also observe the monastery with red stone structure. We will be staying in NamdunaGaun.

  • Day 14 NamdunaGaun to Saldang( 3620 m)

    Today after leaving NamdunaGaun we will leads to climb a steep slope .we can see saldang below on a plateau high above the Nam Khongmala.Saldang is the largest village of the Dolpa. You can observe lifestyle of local people. After exploring village We will be staying in Saldang.

  • Day 15 Saldang to Yangze Gompa ( 4960 m)

    Early morning after breakfast, we will follows the Nang Chu river and passes through a small settlement of Tiling and Lurigaon. After crossing the panzang river we will reach Yangze Gompa which is the old monastery. We will be staying in Yangze Gompa.

  • Day 16 Yangze Gompa to Sibu( 4560 m)

    Today first we return back to Saldang village and follow the river passing through Namdo village and we will continue our trek for another 2 hours and we will reach Sibu. We will be staying in Sibu.

  • Day 17 Sibu to Jeng-la Phedi( 4900 m)

    Early morning after breakfast, we will continue following Nam Khong khola and then trail leads to a steep climb to the bottom of Jeng- la phedi. We will be staying in Jeng la Phedi.

  • Day 18 Jeng- la Phedi to Tokyo Gaon(4209 m) via Jeng la pass(5090 m)

    After breakfast, we will climb for about 2 hours towards the Jeng la. We can see the view of Mt. Dhaulagiri. You can also enjoy the green valley in high mountains. We will walk towards Tarap Chu. It is consists beautiful ten villages with Gompas and chortens. Overnight stay in Tokyo Gaon. You can also observe Tokyo monastery here.

  • Day 19 Tokyu to Dho Tarap (4040 m)

    Today we will follow the trail to the downhill of TarapChu in a plain valley. On the way you can see green lush and desert mountains similar to Tibet and ladakh Himalaya. We will then reach to Dho tarap village. This village is a small settlement of Tibetan and magars. We will be staying in Dho Tarap.

  • Day 20 Dho Tarap- Rest day

    Today we will have rest in Dho Tarap. You can observe unique culture and lifestyle of local people here. You can also visit Buddhist Gompa and Bon Gompa. We will be staying in Dho Tarap.

  • Day 21 Dho Tarap to Tarap Khola (kamakharka) (3800 m)

    After breakfast, we will headed towards Tarap khola. We can observe the herds of blue sheep. We will then reach Lang khola and Tarapchu for overnight stay.

  • Day 22 Tarap Khola to Khani gaon (3150 m)

    On this day, we trek down to the Tarap khola. We will walk alongside the river and came across the shepherds from Dolpo .we will then passes through bridges and around 4 hours finally we reach Khani gaon beside the Tarap khola. We will be staying in Khani gaon.

  • Day 23 Khani gaon to Tarakot(2537 m)

    Early morning after breakfast, we will follow through lalberi village and passes through forest and you will reach old fortress town known by the local people as Dzong. After spending hours in walking finally we will reach Tarakot. We will be staying in Tarakot.

  • Day 24 Tarakot to Dunai (2140 m)

    Today we will follow the river side of Bheririver. We will then walk over 7 meters above the river and we reach Dunai. We will be staying in Dunai.

  • Day 25 Dunai to Juphal

    Today we will trek back to Juphal. It is our last camping of the journey.

  • Day 26 Fly from Juphal to Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu

    Today we will fly from Juphal to Nepalgunj. From here we will flight to Kathmandu. We will be staying in Kathmandu.

  • Day 27 Rest day in Kathmandu

    Today the rest of the day is free so you can go for shopping or visit near Thamel area. We will be staying in Kathmandu.

  • Day 28 Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
