Trip Overview

Jomsom Muktinath trek is the one of the most popular trek in Annapurna region of Nepal. We will walk on the trails along the kali gandaki gorge which is the deepest gorge on earth and visit Muktinath which is the temple for Buddhist and Hindus. The next interesting fact about another destination is Tatopani where people dip their bodies in hot spring water to relax or for body heal which will be a pleasing experience. This trek starts in Kathmandu and ends in Pokhara followed by Jomsom and drive to Kathmandu.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. We will be staying in Kathmandu

  • Day 2 Kathmandu sightseeing

    After breakfast visit Pashupatinath, BoudhaNath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important shrines of the Hindu followers. It is one of the biggest and most powerful Shiva temples. This place possess much more of cultural behaves and exchanges. The art and the architecture can be seen scattered around each and every corner of the Pashupatinath temple.

    Boudhanath: Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu and the largest one in Nepal. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. After the sightseeing of Boudhanath we will drive further ahead till Sankhu and start the hike. The hike passes through beautiful villages and forests with excellent views of the mountains on the background. The hike is usually 3-4 hours walk depending upon the person’s walking skills.

    Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath is one of the most important sites for the Buddhist followers. It is also one of the oldest temples in Nepal. It is the symbol of peace and eternity all around the globe. It is situated at a hilltop from where whole Kathmandu city can be observed. It is not only important for religion but also for art and culture. Being habitat for monkeys around the jungle it is also called "Monkey Temple".

    Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar square reflects the palaces and the livelihood of kings of that era when Nepal was just coming into existence. This was the place where the foundation of modern Nepal is formed. This place used to be and still is the center heart of Kathmandu. It’s filled with palaces astounding monuments, perfect handicrafts and art, the home of living goddess (Kumari) called Kumari Ghar, biggest example of a pagoda style monument. And back to hotel. After sightseeing drive back to hotel.

  • Day 3 Drive to Pokhara ( 823 m)

    After breakfast you will drive to Pokhara- It is one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal located on the lap of the great Annapurna Himal. On your arrival , our staff will receive you. You will then be transferred to our Resort. You will reach late afternoon so you can visit lake side in the evening. We will be staying in Pokhara.

  • Day 4 Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga ( 1552 m)

    Early morning we will drive to Nayapul and headed towards Tikhedhunga from where we can starts our trek. We will then walk to Bhurundi Khola through lust forests via suspension bridge over the Modi river and we will finally reach Tikhedhunga. We will be staying in Tikhedhunga.

  • Day 5 Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani ( 2750 m)

    After breakfast, we will trek to Ghorepani which literally means “ horse water” in nepali. After walking for 6-7 hours we will finally reach Ghorepani. We will be staying in Ghorepani.

  • Day 6 Ghorepani to Tatopani (1990 m)

    Today we will headed towards Tatopani . On the way we can enjoy scenic views of Annapurna south and Nilgiri mountains. We will then continue to Ghar khola village via suspension bridge and finally we will climb to Tatopani where we can enjoy hot spring water. We will be staying in Tatopani.

  • Day 7 Tatopani to Ghasa ( 2110 m)

    After breakfast, we will trek to Ghasa passing a suspension bridge over the river and continue our walking through beautiful waterfall and we will then reach Ghasa which is the popular village for bird-watching. We will be staying in Ghasa.

  • Day 8 Ghasa to Marpha (2680 m)

    After breakfast, we will trek to Marpha through a forest to the Lete Khola and reach Lete village. We will then continue our trek and reach Larjung village. You can see beautiful apple orchads and vegetable farms on the way. We will be staying in Marpha.

  • Day 9 Marpha to kagbeni (2810 m)

    Today ,First we reach Jomsom village and from here we will trek towards Kagbeni which is the deepest gorge in the world. After 4-5 hours we finally reach Kagbeni. From kagbeni we will see great views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peaks. We will be staying in Kagbeni.

  • Day 10 Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710 m)

    After breakfast, we will walk towards Muktinath. We can see scenic views on the way. From here the path climbs steeply leading to Khingar. We will then climb through a desert landscape until jarkot village. Finally we will reach Muktinath- It is an important place of pilgrimage for Nepalese of both Buddhist and Hindu. We will be staying in Muktinath.

  • Day 11 Muktinath to Jomsom (2715 m)

    After breakfast, we will head towards Jomsom. The walk will take almost 6 hours before you reach jomsom. You can observe good views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, tukuche and other peaks along the way.. We will be staying in Jomsom.

  • Day 12 Jomsom to Pokhara

    Today we will take a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara you will be transferred to the hotel. Once you are checked in, you will have time to visit around lakeside on your own. We will be staying in Pokhara.

  • Day 13 Drive back to Kathmandu

    Today we will drive back to Kathmandu. In the evening, you can go for shopping or visit near Thamel area . We will be staying inKathmandu.

  • Day 14 Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
