Trip Overview

The Everest Three Pass Trek is an incredible 20-day journey through the Everest region of Nepal, covering around 120 kilometers. You’ll start with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, then trek through stunning landscapes and picturesque Sherpa villages.

The trek will take you through three high mountain passes: Kongma La Pass (5,535m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and Renjo La Pass (5,340m), providing you with breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore famous landmarks like Tengboche Monastery, Khumbu Glacier, and Gokyo Lakes, and immerse yourself in the unique Sherpa culture.

However, be aware that this trek is challenging and requires a high level of fitness and experience in mountain trekking. Proper clothing, gear, and supplies are essential.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)

    Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer you to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, you will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. We will be staying in Kathmandu .

  • Day 2 Kathmandu City Tour

    After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and start the day with a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the old palace square. Next, you will proceed to Swayambhunath temple- one of the oldest Buddhist Shrines. You will then processed to Visit Pashupatinath- the holiest Hindu temple and Boudhanath- one of the biggest and holiest stupas. You will be staying in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Kathmandu to Lukla ( 2,860m/9184ft ) and Phakding(2,610m/8,698ft)

    Today you will take a flight to Lukla which will take approximately for about 35-45 minutes. Upon arrival in Lukla, you will be introduced to your guide and porter. You will then continue through Dudh Kashi Ghat. The trails follow the bank of the Dudh Koshi River until Phakding where you can enjoy your time. You will be staying at Phakding

  • Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft )

    After breakfast, you will then head towards Namche Bazaar- the biggest Sherpa Village in Nepal. The trail goes over the Dudh Koshi River via a suspension bridge and then through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo. You will then visit Sagarmatha National Park for a permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River en route to Jorsale and continue uphill to Namche Bazaar. You will be staying at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 5 Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)

    Today is the day of rest and acclimatization in Namche. You will be exploring some of the surrounding areas during the day. Early morning we will hike above Namche for an incredible view of the Himalayas and a great view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We will then continue to the Sherpa village of Khunde and Khumjung. After leaving Sherpas village we will walk back to Namche. You will be staying at Namche.

  • Day 6 Namche Bazaar to Tengboche ( 3860 m/12,660 ft)

    Today you will start our day with easy climbing and down to Phunki Thanka via suspension bridge and we will then visit Tengboche Monastery which is the largest monasteries in this trek. You can even see the panoramic views of the highest mountains on earth including Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, and Lhotse. Overnight stay in Tengboche.

  • Day 7 Tengboche to Dingboche ( 4,410 m/ 14300 ft)

    You will be spending the day at Dingboche for acclimatization. There is an option for a hike to the nearby Nagarjun Hill for great views of Makalu, Lhotse, etc. You will be staying at Dingboche.

  • Day 8 Acclimatization and rest in Dingboche.

    You will spend a day at Dingboche for acclimatization. You can take a day hike to Nagarjun Hill for great views of Makalu, Lhotse, etc. You will be staying at Dingboche.

  • Day 9 Dingboche to Chhukung (4750 m/ 15,580 ft)

    Early morning our trail passes through Imja Khola Valley and from here directly across the valley which is the fantastic Ama Dablam and the Amphu Labsa Mountains. You will then continue your walk for half an hour and reach Chhukung and walk towards Chhukung Ri where you can see a fantastic view of Ama Dablam and Amphu Labcha Peaks on the way. You will then descend back to Chhukung. You will be staying at Chhukung.

  • Day 10 Chhukung- Kongma La Pass (5535 m/18,159 ft), Trek to Lobuche (4940 m /16,210 ft)

    Early morning you trek to the Kongma La Pass which is the highest part of the entire trip. You can either trek to the Chhukung or you can walk back to Bible. The trail continues to Lobuche through Khumbu Glacier. You will be staying at Lobuche.

  • Day 11 Lobuche to Gorak-Sheep (5170 m/ 16961 ft) - visit Everest base camp (5364 m/17,954 ft)

    On this day, you will trek along the Khumbu Glacier. On the way, you will see Everest along with Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Nuptse, and other mountains. You will then proceed to Gorak Sheep which is surrounded by the Himalayas. After resting for a short while you continue towards Everest base camp followed by rocky dunes and streams. You trek back to Gorak sheep. You will be staying at Gorak Sheep.

  • Day 12 Gorak sheep to Kalapatthar (5545 m/18,192 ft), then to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft)

    You will start our trek to Kalapatthar to catch the paranormal view of the first light of the sun shining on Mt. Everest. You will then continue to the familiar peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse, Everest etc. the view from Everest and Kala Patthar is incredible. You will be staying at Lobuche.

  • Day 13 Lobuche to Dzongla (4830 m/ 15,850 ft)

    On this day, you will trek downhill to Khumbu Glacier. On the way, you will see the view of Awi Peak. You also can see Chola Tsho Lake. We cross the Chola Khola on a bridge and reach Dzongla. You will be staying at Dzongla.

  • Day 14 Trek to Gokyo (4800m/15,580 ft) via cho la Pass (5368m/17,611 ft)

    You will steep to Cho La Lake which presents over a range of mountains.The path leading down to Thangnak is not difficult. Our trail brings us to the edge of the Ngozumpa Glacier, which is the longest glacier in Nepal. Reaching the other side of the glacier, we see the second Gokyo Lake on the series of six lakes. A short distance away is the third Gokyo Lake. On the edge of this lake stands the Gokyo Village where you will be staying at Gokyo.

  • Day 15 Rest day at Gokyo.

    Today you will be spending our day resting and exploring around Gokyo. You will be staying at Gokyo

  • Day 16 Gokyo to Marlung (4210m/13,810 ft) via Renjo La pass (5360m/17585 ft)

    Early morning you will trek to Dudh Pokhari Lake. After 2 hours walk you will reach Renjo La Pass. On the way, you will see incredible views of the Himalayan. You also get to see great views of Everest. Along the way, you will see Relama Tsho and Renjo Lake. You almost walk down for an hour from Lumde to get to Marlung on the east of Bhote Koshi River. You will be staying at Marlung

  • Day 17 Marlung to Namche Bazaar ( 3860 m)

    The trail continues and cross two bridges and reach Thame- famous Gompa situated on a hill to the west. You will then descend to Namche bazaar which is the biggest town in the Everest region. We will be staying at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 18 Namche Bazaar to Lukla ( 2860 m)

    After breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you will trek back to Lukla from Namche Bazaar. We will be staying at Lukla.

  • Day 19 Lukla to Kathmandu

    After breakfast in Lukla, you will be back to Kathmandu from Lukla by flight. You will be staying at the Kathmandu Hotel.

  • Day 20 Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
