Everest trek in justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain (8848m) but also for its friendly Sherpa people, picturesque villages great variety of cultures and traditions, colorful festivals and monasteries. The flora and fauna are other ornaments of the Sagarmatha National Park. The story of the yeti is still a mystery to the world from the Khumbu region.
Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)
Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. We will be staying at Kathmandu .
Kathmandu City Tour
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and start a day with full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the old palace square. Next we will proceed to Swayambhunath temple- one of the oldest Buddhist Shrines. We will then processed to Visit Pashupatinath- the holiest Hindu temple and Boudhanath- one of the biggest and holiest stupas. We will be staying at Kathmandu.
Kathmandu to Lukla ( 2,860m/9184ft ) and Phakding(2,610m/8,698ft)
Today we will take a flight to Lukla which will take approximately for about 35-45 minutes. Upon arrival in Lukla you will be introduced to your guide and porter. We will then continue through Dudh Kashi Ghat. The trails follows the bank of the Dudh Koshi River until Phakding where you can enjoy your time .We will be staying at Lukla.
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft )
After breakfast, we will then head towards Namche Bazaar- the biggest Sherpa Village in Nepal. The trail goes over the Dudh Koshi River via suspension bridge and then through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo. We will then visit to Sagarmatha National Park for a permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River en route to Jorsale and continue uphill to Namche Bazaar. We will be staying at Namche Bazaar.
Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)
Today is the day of rest and acclimatization in Namche. We will be exploring some of the surrounding areas during the day. Early morning we will hike above Namche for a incredible view of the Himalayas and great view of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We will then continue to the Sherpa village of Khunde and Khumjung. After leaving sherpas village we will walk back to Namche . We will be staying at Namche.
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche ( 3860 m/12,660 ft)
Today we will start our day with easy climbing and down to Phunki Thanka via suspension bridge and we will then visit Tengboche Monastery which is the largest monasteries in this trek.You can even see the panoramic views of the highest mountains on earth including Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse and Lhotse. Overnight stay in Tengboche.
Tengboche to Dingboche ( 4,410 m/ 14300 ft)
We will be spending the day at Dingboche for acclimatization. There is an option for a hike to the nearby Nagarjun Hill for great views of Makalu, Lhotse, etc. We will be staying at Dingboche.
Acclimatization and rest in Dingboche.
Early morning our trail passes through Imja khola valley and from here we directly across the valley which is the fantastic Ama Dablam and the Amphu Labtsa Mountains. We will then continue our walk for half an hour and reach Chhukung and walk towards Chhukung Ri where you can see fantastic view of Ama Dablam and Amphu Labcha Peaks on the way. We descend back to Chhukung . We will be staying at Chhukung.
Dingboche to Chhukung (4750 m/ 15,580 ft)
Early morning we trek to the Kongma La Pass which is the highest part of the entire trip. We can either trek to the Chhukung or we can walk back to Bibre. The trail continues to Lobuche through Khumbu Glacier. We will be staying at Lobuche.
Chhukung- Kongma La Pass (5535 m/18,159 ft), Trek to Lobuche (4940 m /16,210 ft)
On this day, we will trek along the Khumbu Glacier. On the way you will see the Everest along with Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, Nuptse and other mountains.we will then proceed to Gorak Sheep which is surrounded by Himalayas. We continue towards Everest base camp followed by rocky dunes and streams. We trek back to Gorak sheep. We will be staying at Gorak sheep.
Lobuche to Gorak-Sheep (5170 m/ 16961 ft) - visit Everest base camp (5364 m/17,954 ft)
Today we will start our trek to kala Patthar. On the way you can see the panoramic view of the first light of the sun shining on Mt. Everest. We will then continue to the familiar peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Everest etc. the view from Everest and Kala Patthar is incredible. We will be staying at Lobuche.
Gorak sheep to Kalapatthar (5545 m/18,192 ft), then to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft)
On this day , we will trek downhill to Khumbu Glacier. On the way you will see the view of Awi peak. You also can see Chola Tsho Lake . we cross the Chola Khola on a bridge and reach Dzongla. We will be staying at Dzongla.
Lobuche to Dzongla (4830 m/ 15,850 ft)
After breakfast, we will steep towards to Cho La lake which presents over a range of mountains .Our trail brings us to the edge of the Ngozumpa glacier, which is the longest glacier in Nepal. Reaching the other side of the glacier, we see the second Gokyo Lake on the series of six lakes. A short distance away is the third Gokyo Lake. On the edge of this lake stands the Gokyo Village . We will be staying at Gokyo.
Trek to Gokyo (4800m/15,580 ft) via cho la Pass (5368m/17,611 ft)
We will steep to Cho La Lake which presents over a range of mountains .The path leading down to Thangnak is not difficult. Our trail brings us to the edge of the Ngozumpa glacier, which is the longest glacier in Nepal. Reaching the other side of the glacier, we see the second Gokyo Lake on the series of six lakes. A short distance away is the third Gokyo Lake. On the edge of this lake stands the Gokyo Village where We will be staying at Gokyo.
Rest day at Gokyo.
Today we will be spending our day resting and exploring around Gokyo. We will be staying at Gokyo
Gokyo to Marlung (4210m/13,810 ft) via Renjo La pass (5360m/17585 ft)
Early in the morning we will trek to Dudh Pokhari lake. After 2 hours walk we will reach Renjo La Pass. On the way we can see incredible views of the Himalayas Including Everest. Along the way we will see Relama Tsho and Renjo Lake. We walk down for an hour from Lumde to get Marlung on the east of Bhote Koshi River. Overnight stay in Marlung.
Marlung to Namche Bazaar ( 3860 m)
After breakfast, our trail continues and cross two bridges and reach Thame- famous Gompa situated on a hill to the west. We will then descend to Namche bazaar which is the biggest town in the Everest region. We will be staying at Namche Bazaar.
Namche Bazaar to Lukla ( 2860 m)
We trek back to Lukla from Namche Bazaar. We will be staying at Namche Bazaar.
Lukla to Kathmandu
We will back to Kathmandu from Lukla by flight. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of your journey to the mountains. We will be staying at Kathmandu.
Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain leaders will transfer you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
