Panch Pokhari is situated at an elevation of about 4100 m above sea level. It is 9th highest attitude wetland in the world. This a famous Hindu pilgrimage site in Nepal. Panch Pokhari trekking lies to the north of the Kathmandu Valley; the chain of the peaks called Jugal Himal that includes Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Madiya (6257m), Chhaychu (6,637m).
Panch Pokhari is the collection of 5 holy lakes lies in Sindhupalchok district. The naming of the lakes here is a bit different and interesting. These lakes are considered family and named accordingly. The first and biggest lake is called Father Lake. The smallest just next to it is called Son Lake. The one next to it which dries up during winter is called daughter or daughter-in-law lake. And the pretty and well-rounded lake a step below them is called the mother lake. The fifth lake, since its farther away from all four lakes, is called Herder and sometimes Helper Lake.
The trekkers can reach within 3-4 days from the capital city of Nepal. The lake is popular destination for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Panch Pokhari is relatively unexplored and best- kept secret of nature. As it is one of the main features of Langtang National Park. It was a very isolated area even until a few years ago before the roads came. This region is home to Kulung Rai community of Nepal. The traditional language, lifestyle and culture is still very much alive here.
Interesting Facts:
- Even though it is called Panch Pokhari; 5 lakes, there are only 4 lakes in this valley. People consider different lakes around the area to be the fifth one. Some say it is Pangre Pokhari, just above Khola Kharka, some say it is Phokte Pokhari and some consider count the mirror lakes around here.
- Twice a year, people do pilgrimage here during Janai Purnima and Naag Panchami. People from Kirant, Bouddha as well as Hindu faith throng the place during those occasions. It is believed that wishes come true if one worships here.

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu:
Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, our team representative will pick you up and drop you to the hotel in Kathmandu. After your check in, you can take rest and stroll around the nearby surrounding. In the evening, enjoy your first night in Kathmandu with dinner.

Kathmandu to Chimti:
You will begin your trek to Panch Pokhari with an early morning departure from Kathmandu. The journey leads to Chautara, where the trek officially begins. A scenic trek takes you to Chimti, providing an initial taste of the stunning landscapes that lies ahead. After reaching Chimti, you will have your night stay and have your dinner in the local teahouse or lodge.

Day 3
Chimti to Deurali via Tuppi Danda and Chokar Danda:
Rise early in Chimti and fuel up with a hearty breakfast. The day’s trek takes you through Tuppi Danda and Chokar Danda, offering breathtaking views at every turn. The approximately 10- hour walk brings you to Deurali, where a homestay welcomes tired trekkers. The varied terrain and elevation gains provide a challenging yet rewarding experience.

Day 4
Chokar Danda to Panch Pokhari via Noshyampati:
Early in the morning after having breakfast, you continue your trek from Chokar Danda to Panch Pokhari via Noshyampati. After walking around 6 hours; the trek brings you to the enchanting Panch Pokhari at 3700 meters. Accommodate yourself in the Panch Pokhari hotel at 4100 meters, surrounded by the pristine beauty of the five sacred lakes.

Day 5
Panch Pokhari to Chimti:
After having breakfast, continue to Chimti again. The day’s trek, spanning approximately 10 hours, takes you through familiar landscapes with a fresh perspective. Enjoy the contrasting views on the way down and reach Chimti for a well- deserved rest, reminiscing about the experiences of the past days.

Day 6
Chimti to Kathmandu:
The final day of the trek involves retracing your steps from Chimti back to Chautara. From there, a drive transports you back to the bustling city of Kathmandu. Reflect on the incredible journey through the Panch Pokhari region, filled with diverse landscapes, cultural encounters, and the sense of achievement that comes with completing this challenging trek. Arrive in Kathmandu in the evening, concluding your memorable adventure in the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Final Departure
After breakfast, you will have a free day for some shopping, as per your flight schedules three hours before your flight our representative will transfer to the airport from where you will safely fly to your home country.
