Dudhkunda Lake lies at an altitude of approximately 4,600 meters(15,092 feet) above sea level in the Everest region of Nepal. Nestled amidst the pristine beauty of the Himalayas in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal, the Dudhkunda Lake Trek is renowned for its cultural significance, stunning vista, remote trails and lush forests. The trek typically begins from Phaplu or Salleri, accessible by a scenic flight or road journey from Kathmandu.
The Dudhkunda Lake Trek offers unparalleled views of the Himalayan giants, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Makalu, and other towering peaks. The trail winds through rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and remote villages, providing ever-changing vistas at every turn.
Throughout the trek, trekkers have the opportunity to interact with the friendly Sherpa communities inhabiting the region. Visitors can immerse themselves in the unique Sherpa Culture, witnessing traditional dances, rituals, and religious ceremonies.

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival, our team representative will pick you up from Airport and drop you to the hotel in Thamel. You will check in and take some rest. Enjoy your dinner in the evening. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2
Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga
After an early breakfast, you will begin your ride towards Okhaldhunga. The journey takes around 7-8 hours depending upon the traffic and road conditions. The journey offers terraced fields, mountain views, lush forests, rivers and traditional Nepali villages along the way. After reaching Okhaldhunga, you will settle into lodge or tea-house and rest for the night, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 3
Okhaldhunga to Ringmu Valley(2700m)
You will start your trek towards Ringmu Valley. The path goes up slowly through fields that are stepped like stairs, thick forests, and charming villages where Sherpa people live. While trekking, you enjoy magnificent sights of the surrounding mountain and lush valleys. Upon reaching Ringmu Valley, you will stay in a local guesthouse or setting up camp, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.

Day 4
Ringmu Valley- Kerung Pati(3,110m)-Sarkapati(3,489m)-Kamo Danda(3,880m)
Leaving Ringmu behind, you will continue your trek towards Kerung Pati which is at higher altitude 3,110 m from sea level. During the trek, you will trek through dense forest and traditional villages of the surroundings. From Kerung Pati, we descend towards Sarkapati before ascending again towards Kamo Danda. After reaching Kamo Danda, you will stay in local guesthouse and in the evening, enjoy your dinner with majestic view.

Day 5
Kamo Danda to Saharsha Beni(4,040m)
After an early breakfast, your trek today takes you higher in the mountains as you make your way to Saharsha Beni. The trail twists through rough ground and grassy fields high up in the mountains, providing wide views of the nearby peaks. You will trek at a steady pace, taking breaks to admire the breathtaking scenery and catch our breath in the thin mountain air. Upon reaching Saharsha Beni, take rest and prepare for the final stretch of your journey to Dudhkunda Lake.

Day 6
Saharsha Beni to Dudhkunda Lake(4600m)
Today is the most exciting part of your trek as you head to Dudhkunda Lake. You start early to see the lake and mountains clearly before clouds over them. The path is steep and might be sloppy as well. When you arrive, you will see the lake shining and reflecting the big mountains around it.Spend some time there and enjoy the calm feeling of the place. Continue your trek towards Salleri. Rest for the night in Salleri tea-house and enjoy your dinner in the evening.

Day 7
Salleri to Kathmandu
After an early breakfast, you will leave for Kathmandu. Depending upon the road conditions and traffic jam, it will take around 9-10 hours of Jeep's drive to reach Kathmandu. Jeep is the only convenient mode of transportation. The distance between Salleri to Kathmandu is around 265 km. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest and reflect on the memories made during your adventure to Dudh Kunda Lake.

Final Departure
After breakfast, as per your flight schedule, our representative from Mountain Leaders will drop you to the airport from where you will fly towards your next destination.
