Kathmandu is the city of old palaces, temples, golden pagodas and monuments. Being the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu has the overcrowded population with the maximum number of infrastructure and career possibilities. Kathmandu got the enrich heritage sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Hanumandhoka, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, etc and enrich cultural diversity. Some of the heritage sites were listed in UNESCO too. There is a lot to get in Kathmandu, the culture, tradition, festivals, and Jatras celebrated in this city is unique and more to delve into.

While roaming around Kathmandu heritages, most of the tourists do not forget to catch a glimpse of The Living Goddess “Kumari” who lives in a 300-year old house at the Durbar square premises. Kathmandu has gained its name by popular tourist place ‘Thamel”, which is quite a different city-point. The enrich stunning architectural design in Kathmandu Durbar Square else known as Basantapur Durbar Square is a major tourist attraction. The maze of squares and streets, alleys and quiet corners all make for a great destination to just wander around and explore.

Similarly, you should not miss out to roam around Swayambhunath too. It is another world heritage site of Nepal and is the oldest and glorious Buddhist shrines in the world. The premises is also known by the name “Monkey Temple” which is stationed on a hill just west of the Kathmandu city.

While roaming around Pashupatinath Temple, it is a prominent Hindu temple where pilgrims mostly from India and Nepal used to visit and worship the shrine of god Shiva. The temple is built in the 5th century and is one of the oldest and biggest Hindu pilgrim’s sites that lies in the bank of Bagmati river. The temple is of pagoda style of architecture although you can see many temples of Shikhara style too. The smiley Sadhus are very friendly with the visitors whereas the monkeys of Pashupatinath are not as friendly as Swayambhunath.

Now let’s have some glimpse of Boudhanath Stupa, an impressive Buddhist site in the familiar layout of a white dome, gold tower, colorful prayer flags, and countless prayers wheels. The stupa site has accommodated more than 45 Buddhist monasteries in its area. You can find these monasteries generally squared-off, rectangular structures adorned in colorful, detailed, religious images such as the popular ‘Wheel of Life’ which depicts the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth that Buddhists seek release from.


Itinerary

As soon as you arrive in Kathmandu, we will pick you up from TIA airport, and on the first day, we will carry you to the Hotel.

We will start our trip day from 2nd day. We will get around popular World heritage sites of Nepal Pashupati Nath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and with the feasibility of the time, we might visit Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar square.

The visiting destination in Kathmandu does not limit for the single whole day tour. On the third day of our trip, we will continue exploring different beautiful and eye-lashing places in Nepal.
