Gosainkunda trek is all about trekking to Gosaikunda Lake, situated at about 4380 meters above sea level falls under Dhunche- Gosaikunda- Helambu trekking route- one of the most popular trekking routes. The Langtang valley is aptly called “the valley of glaciers”. Here the mountain – scape is spectacular.   On either side of valley, mountains rise, soaring into the sky. The valley offers pine forest, slow moving rivers and swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow–capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primulas.  In the upper part of the valley there are snow bridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes with icebergs floating on them and water of crystalline brightness.  There are also high mountains of solid ice.


Itinerary

Upon arrival, a representative from Mountain Leaders will receive you at the Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. In the evening, you will enjoy the welcome dinner alongside a lovely cultural performance program. Overnight in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and start a day with full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the old palace square and Kathmandu durbar square which is also known as Hanuman Dhoka or Basantapur durbar (Old Thamel) It’s one of the UNESCO world heritage sites with entertaining & fascinating Newari culture. Located at central or heart of Kathmandu. Next we will proceed to Swayambhunath temple- one of the oldest Buddhist Shrines and. Swayambhunath stupa is a famous Buddhist Chaitya, located 3 km west of Kathmandu. Also known as Monkey temple, it signifies Lord Buddha visualization of peace and prosperity in the world. We will then Visit Pashupatinath- the world holiest Hindu temple. Pashupatinath the temple of Lord Shiva, located at the bank of Holy Bagmati River, was built in the 15th century. It is a sacred paradise for Hindus. Our next destination is Boudhanath- one of the biggest and holiest stupa. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the holy Buddhist Tibetan temple also located at eastern part of Kathmandu with a Buddhist cosmos from 14th century as the main attraction. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Today, after breakfast, we will drive to Sundarijal which is 25 km from Kathmandu and takes around 1 hour. Sundarijal is situated at the elevation of 1350 m and trek starts from here. We’ll climb continuously walk for about two hours through the lovely forest. Arrive Burlang Bhanjyang at 2400m the first viewpoint of Himalayas. There are few tea shops where you can rest for a cup of tea and enjoy the beautiful view of Kathmandu valley. After passing through an army camp, the trails enter to the shivapuri National park. Continues down the ridge through a forest of oak and rhododendron to chisapani at 2300 m. Overnight stay in Chisapani.

After breakfast, we will walk through some rice fields and small villages. We will arrive Pati Bhanjyang and from here we will walk to Kutumsang. Overnight stay in Kutumsang.

Today we will headed towards Tharepati passing villages and rhododendron forests. After few hours walk we will finally reach Tharepati. Overnight stay in Tharepati.

Today we will walk through the rhododendron forests and we will have lunch at Ghopte and start headed towards Gosainkunda Phedi. Overnight stay in Gosainkunda Phedi.

Today we can see Suryakunda the first lake on the pass. Views from the pass are fantastic. After half an hour we will reach Gosaikunda. Overnight stay in Gosainkunda.

Gosainkunda is the greatest lake of this area among the lakes. This is one of the Hindu pilgrimages holy lake is in Nepal.The trail starts with an hour flat walk and then descend for 5 hours through rhododendron, pine forest and banyan trees to Dhunche. Overnight stay in Dhunche.

After breakfast we will drive back towards Kathmandu. Drive to Kathmandu takes which will take 7 to 8 hours. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast free for you until time to leave the international airport for your final destination.
