Dolpo Shey Gompa Trek


Shey Gomba, located in northern part of Dolpo is usually called Upper Dolpo has an aura of mystical discussions of the region in peter Matheson's book the Leopard. Shey was closed to foreigners until 1992. For this trekking we need special permit.

Itinerary

DAY 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.

DAY 02: Flying from Nepalgunj to Juphal. Trek from Juphal to Dunai.

DAY 03: Dunai to Tarakot (2520m) camp.

DAY 04: Tarakot to kanigaon (2540m).

DAY 05: Kanigaon to chheur (3610m).

DAY 06: Chheur to Sishul khola (3770m).

DAY 07: Sishul Khola to Do Trap (4150m).

DAY 08: Do Tarap to Shering gomba (4000m).

DAY 09: Shering Gomba to Namdo (3800m).

DAY 10: Namdo to Saldang (4270m).

DAY 11: Saldang to Namgaoun Gomba (4,380m).

DAY 12: Namgaon Gomba to Shey Gomba (4,280m).

DAY 13: Shey Gomba to Over Ganja-La Mandala Camp (4,570m).

DAY 14: Ganjala to Phoksundo Lake (3,600m).

DAY 15: Phoksundo Lake to Chekpa (2710m).

DAY 16: Chekpa to Juphal.

DAY 17: Flight Juphal to Nepalgunj.

DAY 18: Fly from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu.
