This trek to Jumla Rara Lake is a heavenly trek in the west Nepal thrills for those trekkers who love to see the remote areas of Nepal and its life. The trail is very much "off the beaten path" affording glimpses of culture and scenery very different from those in the rest of the country. Trekking in this area involves a great deal of up-and-down walking through forests and isolated villages. The trail passes through countryside which provides glimpses of culture and scenery quite different from that found elsewhere in Nepal, eventually leads to Rara Lake. Being among the local people with their distinctive culture and traditions gives the visitor a unique experience and makes your trekking a wonderful holiday.
This area is protected by the Rara National Park. With the area of about 106 square kilometer, it is the smallest national park of Nepal . Yet the Rara Lake is the biggest lake of Nepal with the area of about 10.8 square kilometer at an altitude of 2990 meter. The lake is surrounded by richly forested hills. Chuchemara Danda at 4087 meters is the best vantage point to get stunning views of the lake and the thickly forested hillsides and the snow-capped peaks around it. The park includes Trans- Himalayan valley with high ridges covered with forest and alpine pastures. The Rara National Park is known as the home of Himalayan black bear, Red panda, Ghorals and many more. Other summits in-the park area are Ruma Kand (3731m) and Malika Kand (3444m) situated to the north of the lake.

DAY 01: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by flight and over night in Hotel.

DAY 02: Nepalgunja to Jumla by flight.

DAY 03: Trek from Jumla to Danphe Lagna (3130m).

DAY 04: Trek from Danphe Lagna to Chautha (2770m).

DAY 05: Trek from Chautha to Dhotu (2400m).

DAY 06: Trek from Dhotu to Rara Lake (3062m).

DAY 07: Rest in Rara Lake (Excursions around the Lake).

DAY 08: Trek from Rara Lake to Gorosingha (3000m).

DAY 09: Trek from Gorosingha to Sinja (2440m).

DAY 10: Trek from Sinja to Jaljala Chaur (2900m).

DAY 11: Trek from Jaljala Chaur to Jumla.

DAY 12: Jumla fly to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu.
