Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

Langtang Gosaikunda was considered the 'hidden valley', a place of refuge, and it remains a well-kept secret. This area lies directly north of Kathmandu on the border with Tibet. Though easily accessible and only a one day drive from Kathmandu, the Langtang region remains a relatively less trekked area.

Here the mountains cape is spectacular. On either side of valley mountains rise; soaring into the sky. The walk-in is picturesque, with untouched forests and abundant flora and fauna. Langur monkeys and Ghoral are easily spotted along the stream, while Himalayan Thar dot the cliffs on high. In Langtang, one can experience beautiful and diverse nature as well as culture while visiting the villages during the trek. In Gosainkunda we will visit the sacred Gosainkunda lake, which is of religious importance to both Hindus and Buddhists.

Grade The Langtang - Gosainkunda trek can be kept in moderate category. To adjust ourselves to the high altitudes, we will take rest and acclimatize from time to time, to prevent you from facing any difficulties. Anyone with a reasonable level of physical fitness can walk this trek. Nevertheless, it is recommended to train your walking skills before you start this trek: this will help you in walking several hours a day. We will walk up to maximum 7 hours a day (this time is including having lunch on the way), after that you will have free time. It is important to take rest in this time, to adapt to the increasing altitude.

Highlights The pure Langtang valley providing impressive varieties of nature Beautiful views on mountain range as well as specific mountains Experiencing traditional culture while visiting the villages on the way Visiting the holy Gosainkunda lake, religiously important to both Hindus and Buddhists
