Ganja-La Pass Trek

The Ganja La pass trek starts from Sybrubesi and ends at Melamchi Pul Bazar. From Sybrubesi you follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyangjin Gompa. When we cross Ganga La pass at 5122 m (which is the highest point of this trek), there are spectacular views of Langtang Lirung and the Tibetan peaks beyond. Much of this route is spent above 3000 m. As there are no lodges and no settlements for three days along the way, travelling in a well equiped group (carrying enough food) is required.

This region remains one of the alluring trekking corners of Nepal where your effort becomes meaningful. This trek is recommended to discover further isolated area through some of the magnificent villages, least ventured before, pristine Himalayan views and more. Teahouse facilities are not available in the Ganga La region, hence trekking should be fully supported and self-sufficient to meet all requirements and contingencies that come up.

Grade The Ganga La Pass trek is a trek which requires good physical health and a body that is able to walk longer distances. Because we will cross quite tough points, it is recommended that you are trained and in good condition when starting this trek. We will take time to adapt to higher altitudes on a regular basis, to prevent you from facing any difficulties during this travel. The Ganga La Pass trek is graded as a strenuous trek.
