Langtang - Gosainkunda Trek
Description
Langtang Gosaikunda was considered the 'hidden valley', a place of refuge, and it remains a well-kept secret. This area lies directly north of Kathmandu on the border with Tibet. Though easily accessible and only a one day drive from Kathmandu, the Langtang region remains a relatively less trekked area. Here the mountains cape is spectacular. On either side of valley mountains rise; soaring into the sky. The walk-in is picturesque, with untouched forests and abundant flora and fauna. Langur monkeys and Ghoral are easily spotted along the stream, while Himalayan Thar dot the cliffs on high. In Langtang, one can experience beautiful and diverse nature as well as culture while visiting the villages during the trek. In Gosainkunda we will visit the sacred Gosainkunda lake, which is of religious importance to both Hindus and Buddhists.
