  Langtang - Gosainkunda - Helambu Trek   Description  Langtang is a narrow valley situated south of the Tibetan border, an area inhabited by Tibetans and Tamang who share a similar religion, language and clothing style. The landscapes we cross are extremely varied: rice-terraces, gigantic fir forests and, in the highest parts, a rock and shrub wilderness with the fascinating backdrop of snowy peaks. Langtang is also rich in rare species of animals and birds, which makes this trek wonderful for experiencing diverse and impressive nature. The trail takes you across sacred lakes, into lush green Rhododendron forests and continues up to scenic hamlets where you will find yourself surrounded by the stunning views of some of the tallest peaks in the world. Gosainkunda is a sacred lake, which is very important for both Hindus and Buddhists. The route passes by the sacred lake of Gosainkunda (at an altitude of 4380 m), a pilgrimage spot where, during the full moon festival of August, hundreds of pilgrims visit. After Gosaikunda we continue across the Laurebina pass towards Helambu valley with its numerous and picturesque Sherpa villages. It is advisable and possible to plan an extra day, which can be spent in Melamchi Gaon, a Sherpa village, which is sure to charm you. Helambu valley is very famous for its natural beauty and wonderful climate with the superb views of the magnificent snow-covered mountains. The area contains typical highland Sherpa villages along with, again, beautiful Rhododendron forests. This trek is perfect to combine the pleasure of learning about other cultures with surrounding yourself in beautiful nature.  Grade  The Langtang - Gosainkunda - Helambu trek can be kept in moderate category. To adjust ourselves to the high altitudes, we will take rest and acclimatize from time to time, to prevent you from facing any difficulties. Anyone with a reasonable level of physical fitness can walk this trek. Nevertheless, it is recommended to train your walking skills before you start this trek: this will help you in walking several hours a day. We will walk up to maximum 7 hours a day (this time is including having lunch on the way), after that you will have free time. It is important to take rest in this time, to adapt to the increasing altitude.  Highlights
