The journey to the Everest base camp starts by taking a Himalayan flight to Lukla, the airport on the south of Sagarmatha National Park.
The base camp not only offers a stunning view on Mt. Everest, but also gives the opportunity to experience the life of the Sherpas. You will find friendly Sherpa people, charming villages, diverse ethno-cultures, colorful festivals and monasteries while walking in this region.
This Everest Base Camp trek itinerary is designed to fulfill the dream of the travelers who are looking for the wonderful adventure of experiencing the base camp of the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest. Trekking to the Everest Base Camp is not so easy climb, but should be accessible for most proficient walkers. The base camp is the starting point for many of the expeditions to higher altitude of the mighty Mount Everest.
We fly into the remote mountain town of Lukla to begin our trek into the Khumbu region of the Himalayas. The views of the Himalayan mountains from Lukla on a clear day are breathtaking.
Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800 m).
Then trek to Phakding (2800 m). This walk will take 4 to 5 hours. Overnight stay in Phakding.
Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3446 m).
This walk will take 6 to 7 hours. Overnight stay in Namche Bazar.
Day 3: Rest day at Namche Bazar.
Visit to the Buddhist monastery, museum and others. Overnight stay in Namche Bazar.
Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazar (3446 m) to Thyangboche (3867 m).
This walk will take 6 to 7 hours. Overnight stay in Thyangboche.
Day 5: Trek from Thyangboche (3867 m) to Dingboche (4300 m).
This walk will take 6 to 7 hours. Overnight stay in Dingboche.
Day 6: Trek from Dingboche (4300 m) to Lobuche (4930 m).
This walk will take 6 to 7 hours. Overnight stay in Lobuche.
Day 7: Rest day at Lobuche.

Day 8: Trek from Lobuche (4930 m) to Gorapshep (5170 m).
This walk will take 2 to 3 hours. Overnight stay in Gorapshep.
Day 9: Trek from Gorapshep (5170 m) to Everest base camp (5400 m) and back to Gorapshep.
This walk will take 5 to 6 hours. Overnight stay in Gorapshep.
Day 10: Trek from Gorapshep (5170 m) to Pheriche (4280 m).
This walk will take 6 to 7 hours. Overnight stay in Pheriche.
Day 11: Trek from Pheriche (4280 m) to Thyangboche (3860 m).
This walk will take 4 to 5 hours. Overnight stay in Thyangboche.
Day 12: Trek from Thyangboche (3860 m) to Namche Bazar (3440 m).
This walk will take 5 to 6 hours. Overnight stay in Namche Bazar.
Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazar (3440 m) to Lukla (2840 m).
This walk will take 7 to 8 hours. Overnight stay in Lukla.
Day 14: Travel from Lukla to Kathmandu by flight.
