Briddim Trail

Â
Description
Briddim, a Tibetan Buddhist village in the bosom of Langtang Himal, is located at an elevation of 2229 m. Around 43 houses are spread in a Z shape. Most of the houses are made of stone and have roofs of split shake. As direct descendants of ancient Tibetan immigrants, the culture and tradition of the Briddim people closely resembles that of Tibetan villages. All the accommodations, lodgings and food are offered in family houses on a rotational basis. Each host family provides a clean bed, toilet and a family dining room. One can enjoy the evening with the host family, living with them, eating traditional foods and sleeping in their usual, but clean bed. Plant rice, Tibetan bread, Syakpa, Dhindo, Potato, Tibetan Tea, Briddim Wine and Himalayan fried wheat are some of the indigenous foods usually available in Briddim.
