Rolwaling Valley Trek
Description
The trek to Rolwaling Valley, west of Mt. Everest and near the Tibetan border, is called 'the grave' by Sherpas on account of its location: buried down between steep ice-giants. Rolwaling Valley is home to famous peaks such as Mount Ghauri Shankar, Dorje Lakpa and many others. Rolwaling Valley is explored by very few tourists. The reason is its geographical intricacy which has kept the region's natural as well as cultural beauty intact. The valley is abundant with alpine lakes, hanging glaciers, moraines, high pastures, waterfalls and imminent view of snowy peaks. It is here that the infamous and eminent Yeti is supposed to make his home. Entire research expeditions have, so far unsuccessfully, attempted to find him.
Grade
The Rolwaling trek can be kept in easy category. The length of the trek is not long and the altitudes during the trek are not too high. Therefore, this trek should be easily accessible for anyone with good health.
