Gokyo Trek

Description

The Gokyo trek takes you through Gokyo Valley, Gokyo and Gokyo Ri. From here we will have beautiful views on Gokyo Lake, Mt. Everest and many more impressive mountains and scenery. Ngozumpa, the largest glacier in the Nepalese Himalaya, can also be seen from this trek. This trek is simply wonderful for its stunning sights on the silvery Everest environment. The traditional Sherpa culture and the Tibetan influences will give you happiness and hospitality on your way.

Grade

The Gokyo trek can be kept in moderate category. To adjust ourselves to the high altitudes, we will take rest and acclimatize from time to time, to prevent you from facing any difficulties. Anyone with a reasonable level of physical fitness can walk this trek. Nevertheless, it is recommended to train your walking skills before you start this trek: this will help you in walking several hours a day. We will walk up to maximum 8 hours a day (this time is including having lunch on the way), after that you will have free time. It is important to take rest in this time, to adapt to the increasing altitude.

Highlights
  • Spectacular Himalayan views on Mt. Everest, Ngozumpa Glacier, Gokyo Lake and more
  • Experiencing culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa society
