This tour packs in all the highlights Darjeeling and Sikkim the 'Queen of Hills" has to offer. After visiting the charming tea gardens and a dawn visit atop Tiger Hill we will drive through the lush Teesta valley to Gangtok the capital of Sikkim. And above all visit Rumtek Monastery.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Kathmandu-Darjeeling.
Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur ( 1 hr 15 minutes). Meet the guide at the airport and drive to Darjeeling. (140 km / 04 hrs.). Overnight hotel.
Day 02: Darjeeling
Early morning tour of Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. Afternoon visit to Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center Tea Estate. Overnight hotel.
Day 03: Darjeeling-Martam
Drive to Martan ( 115km, 04 hrs). Overnight hotel.
Day 04: Martan-Gangtok
Early morning sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery-the principal seat of Karma pa out of Tibet and the largest one in Sikkim, and go to Kanchejunga View Point, Drul-Chorten , Sikkim Research Institute of Tibet logy, handicraft centers and check in hotel at Gangtok.. Evening Free to explore Gangtok.
Day 05: Gangtok-Kalimpong
Drive to Kalimpong (85 km / 03 hrs), one of the hill resort of the finest
views. Evening free to explore the Town. Overnight hotel.
Day 06: Kalimpong-Bhadrapur-Kathmandu
Drive to Bhadrapur ( 130 km/04 hrs) and catch the flight to Kathmandu.
