Description

Panchase, being one of the non-touristic areas, offers you a variety of spectacular experiences like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain views, ethnic villages, culture and the lifestyles of people from the western part of Nepal. Furthermore this trek is always done with a guided group and tented. Panchase is the highest hill of this region and lies on the south-west side of Pokhara, bordering Kaski on the east, Parbat on the west and Syangja on the south. It is also a religious site, that is why on many occasions Hindu pilgrimages visit Panchase. The area around Panchase is also well known for its array of birds and wildlife.

Grade

The Panchase Poon Hill trek can be kept in moderate category. To adjust ourselves to the high altitudes, we will take rest and acclimatize from time to time, to prevent you from facing any difficulties. Anyone with a reasonable level of physical fitness can walk this trek. Nevertheless, it is recommended to train your walking skills before you start this trek: this will help you in walking several hours a day.

Panchase Poonhill Trek - 10 days

 


Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara by land (6-7 hours) or flight (30 minutes). Today we prepare for the trekking.

 

Day 2: Drive to Khare khola and trek to Bumti (2200 m).

Day 3: Trek from Bumti (2200 m) to Panchase Bhanjyang (2800 m).

Day 4: Trek from Panchase Bhanjyang (2800 m) to Panchase hill for a beautiful sun rise view. Then trek to Dimuwa (1500 m).

Day 5: Trek from Dimuwa (1500 m) to Dobato (2500 m).

Day 6: Trek from Dobato (2500 m) to Jaljale (3500 m).

Day 7: Trek from Jaljale (3500 m) to Fulbari (2800 m).

Day 8: Early morning excursion to Poon Hill (3193 m) for a very special sunset-view on the mountains. After breakfast trek to Tadapani (2590 m).

 

Day 9: Trek from Tadapani (2590 m) to Nayapul (1093 m). Drive to Pokhara.

 

Day 10: Travel back from Pokhara to Kathmandu by drive or flight.
