Jomsom Muktinath Trek
Description
The Jomsom Muktinath trek is one of the most popular pilgrimage trekking tours in the Annapurna region. This trek follows the ancient trading route from India to Tibet, up the Kali Gandaki valley, starting from the road near Pokhara and finishing at the pilgrimage site of Muktinath. The Jomsom Muktinath trek is suitable for those who prefer low elevation trekking in Nepal and for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage travelers. Muktinath temple is the highest altitude point of the Jomsom Muktinath trek, from where you will see panoramic Himalayan views including the Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche peak and the Annapurna Himalaya range. The Muktinath temple itself is a holy place where you will observe the activities of many devout Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims including ascetics or 'Sadhus', who have walked from far places like India to reach this point.
The Jomsom Muktinath trek is an easy level trek and very accessible for people with normal fysical health.
