Description
The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek offers you hidden treasures of the Nepali culture. This trail takes you through patch work valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner you find an inspiring glimpse of the high mountains; horizons will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek. This trek is called one of the best of all trekkings in Nepal. You will enjoy different spectacular Himalayan views from Annapurna Himal on the east to the Dhaulagiri Himal on the west side, as well as a cultural mix of Gurung, Magar and Thakali styles of living. There are only few other trekking routes in Nepal which contain this much natural diversity & cultural variety. This trek can be a very good option when you prefer to do a short trek; beautiful places and views can be reached within a few days.  Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek - 9 days   Day 1: Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by land (this will take 6 to 7 hours) or flight (this will take 30 minutes). Preparing for the trekking.
 Day 2: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1070 m) by bus. This drive will take 1 to 2 hours. Then trek from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga (1540 m). This walk will take 3 to 4 hours. Overnight stay in Tikhedunga. Day 3: Trek from Tikhedhunga (1540 m) to Ghorepani (2750 m). This walk will take 5 to 6 hours. Overnight stay in Ghorepani. Day 4: Early morning excursion to Poon Hill (3193 m) for a very special sunset-view on the mountains. After breakfast trek to Tadapani (2590 m). This walk will take 6 to 7 hours. Overnight stay in Tadapani.

Day 7: Trek from Doban (2505 m) to Deurali (3100 m). Overnight stay in Deurali. Day 8: Trek from Deurali (3100 m) to Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m). This walk will take 4 to 5 hours. Overnight stay in Annapurna Base Camp. Day 9: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m) to Bamboo (2335 m). Overnight stay in Bamboo. Day 10: Trek from Bamboo (2335 m) to Jhinu Danda (1780 m). Close to Jhinu Danda there is a hotspring, which can be visited by those who like the special experience of taking a natural warm bath. Overnight stay in Jhinu Danda. Day 11: Trek from Jhinu Danda (1780 m) to Tolka (1700 m). Overnight stay in Tolka. Day 12: Trek from Tolka (1700 m) to Phedi (1130 m). Drive from Phedi to Pokhara.
